Faded decor and outdated furnishings could use an upgrade!!! Difficult layout navigation and limited parking during events made it frustrating to enjoy the facilities!!!

A solid place, right by the airport. The staff actually bent over backwards when we needed help setting up the game systems in our rooms like I was back in high school getting my chemistry set together. Got a full night’s sleep too, beds were comfortable despite the chaos of the kids.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for a group, it was still acceptable.

We had a fantastic trip, enjoying the pool area and visiting the Blank Park Zoo nearby. The staff was helpful, and our room was clean and spacious. Great location with plenty of restaurants close by. Definitely recommend this place for a fun group getaway!

The location was convenient, close to local attractions, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The property is well-maintained, featuring a clean pool area and an inviting restaurant where breakfast includes a great egg station. However, the small bathroom was lacking basic comforts and the bar service was a bit slow during our visit. Additionally, noise from the nearby street affected the tranquility of the room at times.

The fresh salmon I tried at Portermill was straight fire! Plus, the pool made my inner child do a happy dance. Overall, the staff was super helpful and made the stay comfortable.

However, the breakfast situation was a total letdown. I was charged for a breakfast I didn’t even get to order. They better refund me that $10.50 soon!

It was just a good pick for a weekend escape in Des Moines with extraordinarily good value for money. The fitness center is really nice for a hotel, providing a great way to unwind after traveling. I’d recommend checking hot water availability as it can be inconsistent.

The Holiday Inn provided a very comfortable stay with clean and well-maintained rooms. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness, going out of their way to assist with my work needs, particularly in efficiently setting up my presentation equipment. Additionally, the on-demand shuttle service to the airport was a significant convenience, making my travel experience seamless.
